Agent management
Everything you need to get an agent running in your own environment, connect it to Vaurd, and send events to it.
An agent runs in your environment and executes your flows. For what an agent is and how it fits together, see Agents. This section is the practical side: getting one running.

Deploying and registering are interleaved, because the agent needs a configuration file that the platform generates, and the platform needs an agent that is already running before it can register it.
The sequence that works is:
- Create the agent in Vaurd and enter its name and public endpoint.
- Download its configuration file and authentication key from the same screen.
- Edit the configuration to add your data sources.
- Deploy the agent with that configuration, using Docker or Kubernetes.
- Start registration from the web application, once the agent is up and reachable.
Registering an agent walks through all five steps in order and links out to the deployment pages at the right point. Start there if this is your first agent.
